SUMMARY:Chicago Building Code Rewrite Workshop for HBAGC Members
DESCRIPTION:The Chicago Department of Buildings (DOB) is conducting a review of the Chicago Building Code to modernize it and bring it into closer conformity with the model national codes.  DOB hopes to have a proposal ready in mid-March.  In the meantime\, DOB is asking for feedback from home builders on some of the potential changes.\n\nThe Chicago City Chapter of the Home Builders of Chicago will host a workshop on Friday\, February 22nd to discuss some of the proposed changes.  Although we won't have any working documents to share\, we will be able to discuss key issues and provide you with an opportunity to submit comments.\n\nThe discussion will be led by Lew Wilson\, of SGW Architects\, who is a member of the Technical Working Group\, and Paul Colgan\, HBAGC Government Affairs\, who is a member of the Stakeholder Working Group.\n\nIf you are a builder or architect\, this is a must-attend event.
